Kim received her doctorate of physical therapy from Utica College and her master of physical therapy from Andrews University. Kim has worked in outpatient pediatrics for the past 10 years with other experience including acute care, neuro rehabilitation, and home health care. Kim is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Dayton’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. She has been a clinical instructor for over 20 PT schools across the nation over the past 22 years. Kim is a mother of 4 children. She enjoys being active with her family, hiking, doing crafts, baking, reading and trips to the beach.
Marc is a physical therapist and one of the founders of Synergy! Marc attended school for physical therapy at Andrews University and Utica College for his Masters and Doctorate degrees. Marc is originally from Eureka, IL. Marc’s enthusiasm for helping others realize, regain and/or retain their desired level of function led him to becoming a physical therapist. Marc has worked with a diverse background of patients from newborn to elderly, and work collaboratively with peers to set up clinics for athletics, pediatrics and chronic pain. Ultimately, his enthusiasm combined with his wife, Kim's, passion created Synergy Family Therapy Specialists. Marc likes to be active with his wife and family with games, fitness, outdoor and sporting activities, and family vacations.
Kelsey graduated from the University of Dayton with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She is originally from Beavercreek, Ohio and completed her undergraduate work at the University of Dayton where she studied pre-physical therapy. Kelsey is passionate about helping patients learn how to strengthen and care for their bodies. She has experience working with a variety of populations across the lifespan including children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Spinal Muscular Atrophy and developmental delays as well as adults with orthopedic needs. In her free time, Kelsey enjoys reading, being outdoors, and spending time with her niece.
Stephanie graduated from the University of Dayton with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and completed her undergraduate work at Miami University where she studied kinesiology and nutrition. Stephanie is passionate about helping patients meet their goals while having fun and helping each patient reach his or her full potential. She has experience working with a variety of populations across the lifespan including children with Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Delays, Torticollis, and more, as well as adults with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal diagnoses. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys reading, crafting, and spending time with friends and family.
Allie graduated from Xavier University with a Master’s degree in occupational therapy. She is originally from Dublin, Ohio. Allie is passionate about helping her patients to increase their independence and participation in everyday activities! She has experience working with a variety of populations including children with developmental delays, sensory processing disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Spina Bifida, and adults with neurological disorders such as a stroke. In her free time, Allie enjoys playing soccer, spending time with family, and traveling.
Aerika graduated from The Ohio State University with a Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy. Aerika is originally from Lima, Ohio and completed her undergraduate degree at Urbana University where she studied Exercise Science. At Urbana, Aerika, was also a part of the women's swimming program where she was a 4x Scholar All-American and 7x Conference Champion. Aerika is passionate about helping her patients regain their identity by supporting what a meaningful life is to them. Aerika has experience working with children with cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, and developmental delays. She also has experience working with older adults with neurological disorders and orthopedic needs. In her free time, Aerika enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, friends and family, working out, being outside and baking.
Marissa graduated from Kettering College with a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. Marissa was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio and completed her undergraduate at Wright State University where she studied psychology. Marissa completed her level II fieldwork at Synergy and enjoyed working with children of all diagnoses. She is passionate about helping her patients gain the skills needed to independently interact with their world and complete valued occupations. Marissa enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two toy poodles, friends, and family. Her hobbies include jigsaw puzzles, hiking, and board games.
Sarah graduated from the University of Findlay with a Bachelor's Degree in Health Science and her Masters degree in Occupational Therapy. At Findlay, she was on the university's dance team and continues to teach dance in her free time in the studio she grew up in. Sarah is passionate about occupational therapy and allowing her patients the ability to be themselves, grow, and engage in what is meaningful to them most. She has experience working with a wide variety of populations including adults with neurological disorders, orthopedic injuries, traumatic injuries and hand injuries. She has experience with children with ADHD and developmental delays. Sarah enjoys reading, being outside, working out, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
Ellen graduated from the University of Buffalo with her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She completed her undergraduate degree at Clarion University where she studied Communication Sciences and Disorders. While completing her bachelor's degree, Ellen was also a member of Clarion University Chamber Singers, who placed 3rd in the world at an international choir competition, the Eisteddfod, in Wales. Ellen grew up in Portville, NY, and received 5 years of voice lessons as a classically trained singer in her middle/high school years. Ellen has a passion to help individuals access their right to communicate, and work with individuals to maximize their abilities to engage in hobbies, academics, and activities that are valuable to them. She has experience working with individuals across the lifespan with disabilities such as autism and down syndrome, as well as developmental speech and language delays/disorders. In addition, Ellen has experience with accent modification, pediatric and adult swallowing disorders, post-stroke rehab, voice disorders, and cognitive impairments. Outside of work, Ellen enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog Callie, cooking, being outside in the sun, and reading.
Sarah graduated from the University of Illinois with a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology. She is originally from Mason, OH and completed her undergraduate work at Ohio University where she studied Communication Science and Disorders and French. She has experience working with a variety of populations including children with attention deficit disorder, autism, and developmental delay, and adults with strokes, dementia, and traumatic brain injury. She is especially passionate about working with children of all ages targeting literacy skills, fluency, social skills, and articulation. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, ice skating, and bike riding.
